Dogs Are People Too: The Giving Issue

Volume 11

Hey everyone!

I hope anyone celebrating Thanksgiving had a safe, food-filled day with loved ones. What you may not have realized is that following the post-turkey haze is actually another important day - Giving Tuesday! Giving Tuesday has been around since 2012 and it’s a whole day dedicated to focusing your energy toward making a difference. Donating and volunteering are common practices to celebrate this offset to holidays that tend to get in the spotlight due to the greediness that can occur.

You may know this, but here at DOG iD we put purpose over profit. That means we donate a portion of each order (yes, EACH order) before any other bills are paid. We even have an option to donate more if you wish at checkout. These donations go to a nearby facility that trains service dogs, 4 Paws for Ability

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting 4 Paws to do a little volunteer work, play with some puppies, and even attend a service dog graduation! Every visit has been eye-opening to the hard work the staff and volunteers put in every day to make a difference in the lives of others. Everyone puts their heart and soul into what they do, and it shows through their work.

If you would like to participate in Giving Tuesday, consider donating to 4 Paws for Ability or look around for a local cause. This could be an animal rescue or shelter. If you would like to make a donation to 4 Paws for Ability, you can do so here. Even sharing one of these special causes to your social media helps raise awareness for free!
